Heidi Gardner, final year PhD student within Trial Forge at the University of Aberdeen, and QUESTS collaborator, recently visited NUI Galway to deliver a three-hour workshop, “Trial recruitment: from research to reality”, following an invitation from the HRB-TMRN. Over the course of the afternoon, Heidi brought participants through the recruitment process, from how trialist are currently handling the process, sticking points in the process and how to overcome them, and user testing for communication. The workshop was a resounding success and we are very grateful to Heidi imparting her knowledge and enthusiasm!
Heidi is also a co-author on the Cochrane Qualitative Evidence Synthesis on recruitment to trials led by QUESTS Co-Chair, Dr Catherine Houghton, and during her visit, the team had the opportunity to discuss the review.
