QUESTS Co-Chair Dr Catherine Houghton recently presented on “Qualitative evidence synthesis and its potential to inform clinical educators” at the Progressive Alliance of Clinical Educators (PACE) meeting at NUI Galway.
Qualitative evidence synthesis (QES) is a rapidly growing approach in health care research. QES synthesises qualitative findings in a systematic and rigorous way to inform policy and practice. During the presentation, Dr Houghton provided an overview of this approach, with some examples of how it has been utilised. The utility of QES for clinical educators was also discussed.
